CLOSED: The Cheesy Adventures of Capt Mac-A-Roni Review and Giveaway (BTSC-bonus)

The winners for the giveaway have been chosen by Random.org and are announced on this post

Ok, now everyone who knows me knows I cannot stand the Batman, Superman and Spiderman cartoons. I can't understand why little kids love them nor can I understand why kids actually love Spongebob Squarepants. A kid's mind is so fertile, so if they're watching cartoons I say let it be something educational and something that will build up their character.

Here's a cartoon character that will give your little fellows at home the 'action punch' they love to watch and you the satisfaction in knowing that they're watching a cartoon that will teach them something other than throwing a fist or two.

Capt. Mac-A-Roni is a Daystar Television Network production, created to bring solid Christian morals into the living rooms of young kids. The main star Capt. Mac-A-Roni is your everyday "I'm so cool" slick hero whose goal is to ' right every wrong and bring a smile to every frown'.

'The Greatest Treasure' begins in Liberty Island with the case of a missing treasure. Three young kids - Princess Sandy, Eddie and Mikey, take it upon themselves to bring the treasure back to where it belongs with the help of Capt. Mac-A-Roni and his wacky sidekick Cheese (A chicken!) The villain in this plot is a sleazy Pirate named Grime who is accompanied by his accomplice in crime, Sly the fox(whom Grime keeps referring to as a dog, much to his dismay!)
(Read a little more about each character here)

The storyline is packed with good laughs and above all the theme focus on forgiveness and love. The subtle references are clear to an adult and perhaps an older child ( For instance, the Princess of Liberty Island learns to forgive...A child of Christ should always forgive).

I found the cartoon to be a little grown up for Bunny girl to understand in its entirety but she grabbed hold of the main point 'the importance to forgive' and that was what was most important.

This DVD has been awarded 'the Family Approved' seal from the Dove Foundation.

  10. That's really cute!
I'd love to show that to my son - and my daughter of course, but the boys do tend to get indoctrinated into the mainstream superhero stuff more, don't they?
