CLOSED: Carolina Pads Review and Giveaway (BTSC- Day 15)

Starting up as an ordinary school supply business in 1945, Carolina Pad offered the market everything from composition books, notebooks, pencils, crayons and more. To get an edge over large school supply companies, the founder- Joseph K Hall Jr- sold the supplies directly to schools from the back of his truck. As the years went by, Carolina Pad continued to grow, blossom, flourish and soon catapulted to 'school supply fame'. The reason for their success was simple- they offered a quality product at a price that was affordable to the customer. That's the same policy that continues to drive Carolina Pad's success today.

What's my take on Carolina Pad?

Three words came to mind when I opened my box of Carolina Pad supplies......COLORFUL, TRENDY and QUALITY! Just looking at the picture above, aren't those the same words that swim to your mind?

I remember the sort of files I had while growing up- one solid color, drab and flimsy. Looking at the beautiful 12 pack of file folders (ref: the black and white motif print on the first picture) I secretly wished I had funky designs like these to carry to college. Honestly you can color coordinate clothes to your binders and notebooks with these designs!

The Notebooks are presently being treated like gold. I have a thing about pretty notebooks and I know they are meant to be used, but I use my pretty notebooks sparingly lest I end up writing on all the pages and not be able to use the same again! The Pattern Play notebook has been set apart for my Sunday morning church and Bible study jot downs...I think the notebook deserves that special role! ;>

I love my Hot Chocolate brown polka dotted binder - tres chic, right? 'Hot Chocolate' has the important task of holding papers relating to the products reviewed on the blog...again deserving its special role!

The Kendall Kollection has been inspired by a brave little girl-Kendall Sierens-who is fighting leukemia. Her cousin, Carolina Pad's signature designer- Jacqueline Savage McFee- developed this collection in Kendall's honor. A portion of the sales made from this collection is donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
(Kendall is now in remission but there are young children like her who are still fighting the illness. You can read more about this beautiful little girl from Jacqueline's website.)
