A few weeks ago, we had a lovely surprise waiting for us in the mail- three dvds for review. Thanks to Andrea Blain Public Relations, Bunny girl got to watch 3 fun characters in their latest/forthcoming releases through HIT Entertainment and Lionsgate Publicity - Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and her favorite purple dino-Barney.

Released on August 11, 2009 Barney's 'Sharing is Caring' once again brings the importance of a childhood struggle for most little ones- Sharing. With an ongoing toy drive in the works, Barney and his friends decide to donate their old toys but before they give them away, they spend some time playing with the toys for the last time. While using their imaginations , they play and help Baby Bop especially learn to share and have fun while doing it. The dvd has the old favorites like We take turns, Home on the range, I like my blanky and Have a snack. The dvd also includes an additional episode- 'A Picture of Friendship'. We love Barney dvds so this was great fun to watch together.


Bob the Builder's ' Call in the Crew' releases on August 25, 2009 and the dvd gift set comes with a special gift for your little Bob the Builder Fan- a little Scoop toy. The set includes the 5 action packed, team work driven episodes - Scrambler's Seaweed Delivery, Massive Muck, Roley's Moleys, Scoop Slips Up and Muck's Convoy. We're not big Bob the Builder fans but all 5 episodes are enjoyable and the 'team work' theme rings out loud and clear even to a child.


Another August 25, 2009 release is 'Help is Here' with Fireman Sam. Fireman Sam is a new character for us. The episodes were originally created in the UK in 1986, a re-release has brought Fireman Sam into the market with 'Help is Here'. I honestly enjoyed watching this cute Welsh Fireman and his companion rescue dog Radar. Children get to learn the role of a Fireman in the community, what rescue dogs do, team work and watch Norman, the kid who always gets into trouble, at his best!

All three dvds are available on Amazon.com and by August 25th, all 3 will be available in your local stores.

If so, the second DVD on the winner's list, will be sent. The 3rd winner will win the 3rd DVD that has not been chosen by the 1st and 2nd winners. (Whew...looks confusing when put into words!)
