Conversation Bunny girl (BG) and I had just a few minutes ago....
BG: " Mama can you sing 'Away in a manger'"
Me: " Sure. Away in a manger, no crib for a bed"
At this point she joins in with the singing
We reach the second verse. She doesn't know this verse, so listens intently..
Me: "The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes. The little.. "
BG: "Mama?"
Me: "What, baby?"
BG: "Did Jesus cry when He was a baby?"
Me: "All babies cry. Even Jesus cried when He was a baby."
BG: " No Mama. Jesus won't cry when they take the cattle out of the bag. When they're in the bag, then He'll cry. "
I try hard not to laugh...
Me: " What do you think cattle is, baby? "
In a very matter of fact, confident tone she answers... "A present !"
P.S. This was the closest picture to 'cattle' I could find!
